Kristina Baurschmidt is a partner in the firm's Berlin office and part of the real estate practice group. She focuses on real estate management, acquisition and development. Ms. Baurschmidt advises on construction and engineering law (planning, development and construction). She also represents her clients in contentious as well as non-contentious legal matters and advises on contract negotiation, primarily on construction and engineering law, commercial lease law and general civil law.

Her clients include major companies - some of them listed on the stock exchange — such as national and international insurers and investors, project developers, general contractors and general planers as well as subcontractors in respect to real estate transactions, property development and management and commercial lease law.

Professional Background

Ms. Baurschmidt joined K&L Gates in May 2010. Before joining the firm's Berlin office, she worked for another leading international law firm in Frankfurt/ Main, since May 2007 as partner.  She qualified as a Specialist Lawyer (Fachanwältin) for Construction and Architecture Law in January 2007.

Kristina regularly takes part in real estate congresses and seminars as moderator and publishes articles related to current issues in the corporate real estate economy.
