Lindsay Murphy is an associate in the Dallas office. Ms. Murphy advises public and private clients with respect to the design, implementation, and administration of welfare benefit plans and tax qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, including 401(k) plans, defined benefit plans, employee stock option plans, and executive and deferred compensation plans.

She has experience in benefit matters of tax exempt organizations including 403(b) plans and 457 plans. Ms. Murphy also focuses on regulatory compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and PPACA. She advises clients with respect to plan correction issues under the IRS Employees Plan Compliance Resolution System and the Department of Labor Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program. She also represents clients before the IRS and DOL in audit and correction matters.

Ms. Murphy also has experience in ESOPs and has been involved in ESOP transactions including leveraged buy-outs, mergers, acquisitions, and the structuring and financing of ESOPs using private equity.
