Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Barnes served as an associate at a U.S. law firm where he concentrated his practice in commercial litigation and business disputes.

Marvis is an accomplished litigator with experience practicing in federal and state courts. He has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including case evaluation and investigation, preparation of pleadings, depositions, dispositive motion practice, settlement negotiations, trial and appeal. Over the course of his career, he has successfully represented a diverse clientele in a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters, including, banking and commercial disputes, real estate, employment, Biometric Information Privacy Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, class actions, and general contracting disputes. He has also first chaired and second chaired bench and jury trials.
