Matt Collins is a staff attorney in the e-Discovery Analysis and Technology (e-DAT) Group. Since joining the group in 1997, he has advised clients on both project-specific discovery strategies and general litigation readiness. Matt has handled all stages of e-discovery in a variety of complex litigation matters, government investigations and corporate acquisitions. He has also managed the technical aspects of data preservation, collection, filtering and processing, structured and supervised large document reviews, and served as liaison among clients, trial counsel, review attorney teams, vendors and technical support personnel.

Professional Background

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Matt was a contract associate at a large San Francisco-based law firm, specializing in the products liability group. He has worked for the King County Prosecutor's Office, Criminal Division, as well as for a pro bono clinic in Santa Clara, California, doing family law-related matters.
