Mr. Hickey has over twenty years of experience as an attorney and Certified Public Accountant representing mature and emerging-growth companies, principally in the software, medical device, biotech and e-commerce fields, on matters pertaining to financing, corporate, securities and tax law. Mr. Hickey also counsels and advises Boards of Directors, corporate officers, venture funds and individual investors on various legal and business issues.
Mr. Hickey has extensive experience in private placements and public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and technology and software licensing. Mr. Hickey also advises clients regarding corporate governance, securities law issues, compensation and regulatory issues. Representative clients include public and privately-held companies in the software, medical device, biotech and e-commerce areas as well as venture capital firms and private equity investors. Prior to entering into private law practice, Mr. Hickey worked for one of the four largest international accounting firms in both its audit and tax groups. Mr. Hickey also worked in the finance and internal control compliance areas for an international computer hardware and software company, spending a portion of his time living and working in Europe.
