Miłosz Tomasik is a Polish qualified legal advisor who focuses his practice in environmental law, in particular industrial emissions, environmental impact assessments, permits for use of the environment (e.g. integrated permits), land contamination, water law and waste management. He also advises on real estate, construction and planning issues as well as on geological and mining law.

Miłosz Tomasik successfully assisted in proceedings before administrative bodies and the administrative courts regarding environmental decisions, exploration concessions, integrated permits, local zoning plans, fees for using the environment and public access to information concerning the environment. He has assisted in the development of various investment projects in major sectors of the Polish economy, including the largest developments in the energy sector in the last decades, coal mines, prospecting and exploration of shale gas, infrastructural projects, waste management projects and various production plants from major branches of the Polish industry.

Miłosz Tomasik provides legal advice on land contamination and environmental damage, supporting clients in planning their remedial actions and assisting them in transactions involving contaminated land. He has also gained experience in the structuring and practical implementation of environmental provisions in various contracts regarding e.g. usage of common telecommunications infrastructure owned by two leaders in the mobile telecoms sector and construction of industrial emission abatement installations.

Professional Background

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Miłosz Tomasik practiced in the Warsaw office of a London-based international law firm, focusing on environmental protection law. He also previously worked in the Warsaw office of another law firm providing legal advice, including to a major Polish energy company.

Miłosz Tomasik participates as a speaker at various industry events and conferences gathering major players from the energy, real estate and chemical sectors.
