Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Saleh worked at another London firm. She qualified into their Corporate Recovery and Restructuring department in 2008 and during her time there, she completed a secondment in the business support team at Barclays Bank PLC.

  • Advising the receivers of a fund based in the Cayman Islands on the recoverability of funds in excess of £100m loaned to 10 law firms, assisting in an application for the recognition of the Cayman receivership in the UK pursuant to the Cross Border Insolvency Regulations 2006, and assisting the receivers in obtaining information relevant to the fund through their investigative powers pursuant to section 236 of the Insolvency Act 2006;
  • Preparing detailed reviews of the security held by a wide range of lenders;
  • Acting for the administrators and administrative receivers of a group of four hotels and assisting in the sales of those hotels by those office-holders.
  • Acting for management team and investors in connection with an MBO, conducted through a pre-packaged administration sale, of the Gear 4 iPod/other accessory business.
  • Advising Hong Kong-listed client YGM Group on its £15 million acquisition from administration of the majority of the non-Asian business and assets of British clothing retailer Aquascutum and on post-acquisition matters such as retention of title claims and issues arising under licence agreements.
  • Advising the special liquidators of a bank in relation to the validity and transferability of its security prior to the sale of a number of the bank’s loans.
  • Advising the joint liquidators of a company involved in a tax fraud.
