Olaf Fiss is an associate in the firm's Berlin office and part of the TMT practice group, focusing on media, IP and IT law.
Prior to joining K&L Gates in October 2010, Mr. Fiss wrote his doctoral thesis on "Liability for defective software under German, English and US law". From 2007 to 2009, during his postgraduate judicial clerkship (Referendariat), he worked as a junior counsel in leading international law firms, focusing on corporate and IP/IT law. From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Fiss worked as an inhouse lawyer in the legal department of a U.S. software vendor in London. In 2005, Mr. Fiss also obtained a Master degree (DESS) in International Business Law in Paris.
