Patrycja Treder is a graduate of the Law and Administration Faculty of the University of Warsaw and she cooperates as a Junior Associate with the K&L Gates Warsaw office. She joined the team in August 2013. Patrycja Treder practices in the field of dispute resolution, both before the national courts and before arbitral tribunals. Her practice focuses mainly on the dispute resolution in the field of investment treaty arbitration. However, she is also devoted to commercial disputes and she has some experience in the field of competition law and of tax law. Her academic interests revolve around international arbitration in investment and commercial disputes, as well as the European Union law.

Before Patrycja Treder joined the K&L Gates team, she cooperated with an international firm specializing in the field of tax law.

  • Board Member of the ICC Poland ADR Commission.
  • Member of the Young ICCA and YIAG.
  • Leader of the 2016 Case Committee preparing a legal problem for the 2016 edition of the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot.  
  • A coach of the University of Warsaw team in the 24th, 23rd, 22nd and 21st edition of the Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot devoted to the topic of international commercial arbitration. In the 22nd edition, the team representing the University of Warsaw succeeded to the Round of 32.

  • Member of a team representing Corona Materials LLC in the case of Corona Materials LLC v. the Dominican Republic (ICSID Case No. ARB(AF)/14/3) regarding an investment in the mining sector.
  • Member of a team advising a Canadian investor in the investment treaty dispute initiated against a Central Eastern European country regarding an investment in the mining sector.
  • Member of a team representing the Employer (Polish company) in the arbitral proceedings before the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw arising out of the dispute with the General Contractor (Spanish company) based on the construction agreement.
  • Member of a team representing an Employer in an arbitral proceedings resulting from the dispute with a contractor regarding the construction agreement construed on the basis of  FIDIC “Yellow Book”.
