Mr. Jiang is a licensed patent agent resident in the San Francisco office. His 12 years of experience as an engineer with electronics companies has helped him to develop a broad understanding of electronics. Since joining K&L Gates in 2005, he has drafted approximately 200 patent applications in the semiconductor, telecommunications and computer software areas. He has also supported approximately 20 intellectual property litigation matters related to the electronics field.

Professional Background

From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Jiang owned his own company developing computer software to automate routine tasks in circuit design, such as incoming model checks, line-model generation and design checks. Prior to that, he worked for nine years with Santa Clara, CA-based Integrated Silicon Solutions Inc., where he spent his last five years there as an Integrated Circuit Design Engineer. In that position, among other projects, he was the project lead in an 18MBit 0.13um 200 MHz Sync SRAM, where he completely redesigned the control logic and core architecture (yielding the company’s first 18Mbit) and designed the company first JTAG (boundary scan). He also worked on analog circuit components including voltage-down converter and sense amplifier. The chip worked on the first silicon. Prior positions with Integrated Silicon Solutions included Semiconductor Process Integration Engineer and Semiconductor Device Engineer.
