Areas of Practice

Mr. Mahoney's practice is focused in the areas of corporate law and financial services regulation.  He handles a broad array of corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, venture capital financings, debt financings, non-controlling investments in regulated organizations, and bank and holding company formations.  Additionally, he regularly advises clients in various segments of the financial services industry on regulatory issues arising at both the state and federal level including, among other things, issues arising under the Federal Reserve Act, Bank Holding Company Act, Federal Deposit Insurance Act, Home Owners' Loan Act, Federal Credit Union Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and state information security laws.  He has represented clients before the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Reserve Board, the National Credit Union Administration, Office of Comptroller of the Currency, the Office of Thrift Supervision, the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as state regulatory agencies.
