Areas of Practice

Mr. Birsic maintains an active trial, arbitration and counseling practice focused principally on complex commercial and insurance coverage litigation. Mr. Birsic has extensive jury and bench trial experience involving complex, plaintiff-oriented commercial cases. In addition, he has tried numerous international and U.S. based commercial arbitrations to conclusion. In recognition of his extensive trial work, Mr. Birsic has been inducted as a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Birsic also has substantial alternative dispute resolution experience involving a wide range of complex commercial cases and issues.

Professional Background

Mr. Birsic, who has been a lawyer with K&L Gates since 1979, currently serves as the co-leader of K&L Gates' global litigation and dispute resolution group and is a member of the firm's Management Committee. He has addressed professional groups on numerous occasions on trial and arbitration related issues involving complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage and international arbitration issues.
