Areas of Practice
Inga is an associate in the Construction and Engineering practice group. She deals with both contentious and non-contentious matters, including PFI related work, and also advises on competition law as it relates to the construction and engineering industries
Representative Experience
- Acting for a mechanical and electrical sub-contractor in a multi-million pound arbitration arising out of construction of a power station in Cumbria
- Acting for a major cement producer in adjudications in respect of contractors' claims on a cement plant project in Nigeria
- Acting for Arena Leisure in relation to the re-development of Doncaster and Lingfield Park Racecourses
- Drafting and implementing competition law compliance programmes for construction clients
- Advising Laing O'Rourke on the construction aspects of its purchase of Crown House Engineering from Carillion plc, and
- Extensive experience with NEC3 contracts, including acting for London Underground in connection with tenders for major enhancement and intermediate works contracts and advising on framework agreement terms and conditions, including £3.5 bn vendor capital programme
- Acting for London Underground in an adjudication in respect of a £37m dispute over lost customer hour calculations
- Advising rail industry client on terms of NEC3-based track replacement alliancing agreement
- Acting for international property developer in negotiation of development management agreement
- Advising property developer client on terms of fit out licence and negotiating terms of lift installation contract
- Projects work includes advising Laing O'Rourke in relation to the Limerick Tunnel PPP Scheme road construction project, and the North Staffordshire City General/North Stoke Hospitals construction and refurbishment project
Professional Background
Inga qualified as a lawyer in Australia in 1997. She has previously worked at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission as an investigator and at a major Australian law firm. She joined the firm in 1999 and cross-qualified in the UK in 2000
