Areas of Practice

Mr. Tallman is an associate in the mortgage banking and consumer credit group.  He represents a broad range of consumer financial services providers, including mortgage lenders, servicers and investors; credit card companies; student loan companies; consumer finance companies; and payments systems providers. His practice focuses on regulatory compliance matters, with an emphasis on mortgage and consumer lending issues, financial privacy and information security requirements.  Mr. Tallman is a Certified Information Privacy Professional.

Professional Background

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Mr. Tallman was an associate with a New York-based law firm, where he developed his practice in a variety of financial industry regulatory issues arising under federal and state consumer credit laws, including the Truth-in-Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, fair lending and fair housing laws, state and local anti-predatory lending laws, and state licensing requirements.
