Ms. Mack concentrates her practice in the environmental area, including litigation and regulatory compliance work involving New Jersey statutes and regulations, as well as federal environmental laws, including CERCLA and RCRA. Ms. Mack also has transactional experience, including drafting and negotiating service contracts and access agreements, as well as conducting due diligence for real estate closings.
Ms. Mack currently assists with the representation of over sixty companies participating in the Lower Passaic River Cooperating Parties Group, which is engaged with federal and state agencies in a combined CERCLA/WRDA Study of the Lower Passaic River in Newark, NJ.
Ms. Mack is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED-AP), a distinction she earned through the Green Building Certification Institute. As a LEED-AP, she has demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles, as well as the LEED Rating System.
Prior to joining K&L Gates in 2003, Ms. Mack served as a legal intern working on Clean Water and Superfund cases for the Environmental Protection Agency, Region 2, in New York, NY.
Ms. Mack also received a certificate in Environmental Law from Pace Law School where she also served as an articles editor of the Pace Law Review.
Ms. Mack is active in several K&L Gates committees including the Recruiting and Associates Committees. She also regularly handles pro bono cases where she has argued in the New York State Appellate Division, First Department, and also provides legal services to victims of domestic violence.
Ms. Mack is also a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations, including the environmental law section.
