Nicholas joined the firm in 2005 and is an associate lawyer in the Corporate practice group.He has experience in a broad range of work, focusing mainly on private company M&A and private equity transactions. 

Nicholas also has experience of a range of sectors including insurance, radio and advertising, technology and engineering.

MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS



Represented Halliburton in its multi-jurisdictional acquisition of the PSL Energy Services group, a provider of solutions for wells, process, and pipeline services to the oil and gas industry




Represented Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation, part of the United Technologies Corporation group, in its sale of WFEL Limited which designs and manufactures military bridges




Representing the shareholders of Ma Potter's Limited, a chain of 16 restaurants throughout the UK, on its sale to Tragus Holdings


PRIVATE EQUITY



Represented FF&P Private Equity Limited and co-investors on various investments including deltaDOT Limited, which develops and commercialises innovative technologies for the separation and analysis of biomolecules




Represented Imperial Innovations Limited and co-investors on an investment into Polytherics Limited, a company which uses biomedical polymers to optimise pharmaceuticals




Represented Medicals Direct Holdings Limited, the purchaser on an MBO of Medicals Direct Group Limited, which provides healthcare services to the corporate, insurance and legal industries


PUBLIC OFFERINGS/FINANCINGS



Represented Foundation Inns Plc, an unlisted company set up to develop and manage a group of pubs, on its recent public offering via a prospectus




Represented Seymour Pierce on the IPO and listing on AIM of ET-China, the Chinese online travel services provider

Professional Background

Nicholas trained at another London law firm, and joined K&L Gates after two years in their Corporate practice group.
