Areas of Practice
Mr. Johnson is a trial lawyer focusing on intellectual property and other types of high stakes complex litigation. Mr. Johnson has successfully tried cases to verdict in both state and federal courts, and prevailed in multiple TRO/preliminary injunction hearings.

Representative Experience
  • Wistron Corporation v. Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.  (Northern District of California). Managed key elements of multi-million dollar patent infringement case involving computer software and hardware related patents.    
  • Microsoft Corporation v. Google Inc., Dr. Kai-Fu Lee (King County Superior Court). Lead team representing Microsoft in litigation against Google and Dr. Lee. Successfully argued motion for Temporary Restraining Order and prevailed in mini-trial obtaining Preliminary Injunction prohibiting Google and Dr. Lee from misappropriating Microsoft trade secrets or otherwise violating Dr. Lee’s non-competition agreement. 
  • Unigen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. v. Leiner Health Products, LLC. (Western District of Washington). Successfully obtained dismissal of patent infringement and false advertising claims related to nutritional supplements. 
  • Wacom Co. Ltd. v. Hanvon Corporation (Western District of Washington). Took lead on key elements of patent infringement case related to drawing tablet technology.    
  • City of Seattle v. Professional Basketball Club (Western District of Washington). Represented City of Seattle in specific performance lawsuit seeking to prohibit the Seattle Supersonics NBA basketball team from breaking its lease.  Examined several witnesses during trial. Matter settled one hour before issuance of Court’s ruling.
  • Motricity, Inc. v. Elfman (King County Superior Court) Obtained Dismissal with Prejudice of multiple claims brought against executive by former employer. 
  • Floor Factory, Inc. v. Smooth Corp (Superior Court County of San Francisco). Lead counsel successfully resolved cross-claims against plaintiff for trademark infringement and trade secret misappropriation.   
  • Microsoft Corporation v. Digeo, Inc. (King County Superior Court). Lead team representing Microsoft in multi-million dollar litigation involving complex technology and licensing agreement issues. 
  • MediaNet, Inc. v. Boxlight Corp. (Southern District of New York.) Successful defense and resolution of copyright infringement claims against defendant. 
  • RealNetworks v. LockStream (King County Superior Court). Successful defense and resolution of start-up company in trade secret misappropriation litigation.
