Areas of Practice
Christoph Mank is a partner in the firm's Berlin office. He is a member of the real estate practice and construction and engineering practices. He is experienced in advising on construction and engineering matters as well as landlord and tenant matters. He also has extensive experience advising on dispute resolution issues. His clients include construction corporations, closed funds, property companies and private investors.
Representative Experience
- Advising a Dutch construction company with respect to contractual issues for three off-shore wind farms in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea
- Advising a German-Austrian consortium on the development of a biomass utilization project in Austria
- Advising a large German construction company on the development of a waste conversion plant in Brandenburg and Hesse
- Advising a bidder with regard to the Jade-Weser-Port tender procedure
- Advising two German restoration companies regarding the restoration of the Neues Museum, Berlin
- Advising a property developer regarding several residential developments in Berlin
- Representing a large German construction company on all contentious issues relating to several construction projects, especially in East Germany (including mixed developments, residential developments, shopping malls, office space and administrative buildings)
- Representing a non-profit organization regarding disputes with architects arising from a failed development project
- Representing condominium owners in a dispute with the developer regarding defects of the town houses
- Representing a Luxembourg-based fund in a dispute relating to the acquisition of a 40 m portfolio
- Advising the landlord of the Galeries Lafayette building in Berlin
- Advising the property management of over 800 residential units in Berlin
- Advising the asset management of over 500 commercial units (office, retail and logistics) throughout Germany
Professional Background
Christoph Mank qualified as a lawyer in 1996 and joined K&L Gates in January 2007 from a large international law firm. In 2006 he qualified as a Specialist Lawyer in Construction and Architecture Law.
