Mr. Zukowski is a partner in the Litigation Group. His practice is concentrated in a number of different areas, including complex commercial litigation, construction litigation, insurance coverage, product liability and toxic tort litigation. He has broad experience in a number of state and federal courts in all aspects of discovery, arbitrations, mediations, arguments, hearings, settlement negotiations and trials.
As a member of the Firm’s Toxic Tort and Product Liability Practice Group, Mr. Zukowski serves as both national and trial counsel for clients facing thousands of repetitive, mass tort claims pending in nearly every state in the United States. In addition to overseeing litigation and the conduct of trials in underlying cases, he has developed and coordinated defense strategies on a national level, and coordinated the activities of numerous local trial counsel throughout the country to protect the client’s interest. As trial counsel, he has represented clients in trials pending in a number of jurisdictions, including New York, California and Pennsylvania.
As a member of the Firm's Construction and Engineering Practice Group, Mr. Zukowski has represented domestic and foreign corporations in international arbitration proceedings, as well as federal and state court proceedings. He has been involved in several multi-million dollar industrial projects, including steel, offshore oil and gas, and airport construction. His practice has included counseling clients regarding insurance coverage for construction industry claims under builders risk policies, commercial general liability policies, and professional liability policies.
Mr. Zukowski also maintains an active general litigation practice in Western Pennsylvania counseling clients regarding commercial disputes. In furtherance of K&L Gates’ pro bono initiative, Mr. Zukowski also represents an individual in a section 1983 civil rights lawsuit pending in the Western District of Pennsylvania.
