Mr. Mow has spent many years representing clients in a wide variety of complicated litigation matters and enjoys a sterling national reputation as a top trial lawyer. Mr. Mow has tried or settled cases involving high-tech disputes, software, securities and breach of fiduciary duty, legal and other professional malpractice, product liability, intellectual property and employee disputes, fraud, and other complex commercial, personal injury, and construction disputes.  He has represented clients in the U.S. Supreme Court, federal courts, and in numerous Texas state courts. Mr. Mow is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

  • Defended an international telecom manufacturer in complex product warranty case. (Successful settlement after five-week jury trial.)
  • Successfully defended a major oil company in case involving patent, trade secret, employee confidentiality, patent royalty, defamation, infliction of emotional distress, civil conspiracy and breach of fiduciary duty. (Eight-week jury trial.)
  • Defended corporate officers and directors for alleged breaches of fiduciary duty and fraud to ESOP owners arising out of a merger into one of the country's larger health care companies.  (Mistrial and defense of other directors or officers in other cases to successful settlements.)
  • Defended a $40+ million claim for a successful, high-tech company and its principal officers from claims by its former CEO/30% stockholder of breaches of fiduciary duty, hiding new inventions, conspiracy, and fraud in connection with the sale of securities. (Successful verdict after five-week jury trial.)
  • Defended $40+ million claim of legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, and DTPA issues against a prominent law firm.  The underlying case issues included claims of breach of contract for purchase of a business jet, fraud, DTPA, and liquidated damages. (Defense verdict in four-week jury trial.)
  • Defended a large Japanese computer printer manufacturer against a $100+ million product liability/wrongful death suit involving the death of a young mother and serious burns to children. (Jury trial resulted in defense verdict.) (Defense of other product or injury claims on behalf of other manufacturers, including German auto makers.)
  • Defended large Dallas-based national bank against pension plan trustees claiming bank had vacated its "banking home" and caused disruption and damage to a major downtown Dallas office complex. (Obtained favorable settlement.)
  • Defended litigation in several forums involving lender liability and alter ego claims against a large regional bank holding company and subsidiary banks. (Obtained favorable settlement.)
  • Tried to a good result a warranty and deceptive trade practice action against a major national manufacturer of industrial gearing
  • Defended Southwestern Bell Telephone through summary judgment and appeals in tortious interference case brought by AT&T
  • Trial (non-jury) and successful appeal to the 5th Circuit of District upholding Judge Harold Entz's position against construing § 2 of the Voting Rights Act to force election of Texas District Judges from single-member districts
  • Successfully represented minority shareholder in one of the area's national sports franchises to prevent a squeeze-out
  • Represented secured lender in an adversary case involving contract, fraud, usury and conspiracy claims. (80-page Findings and Conclusions in one-week trial.)
