Shane Devins’ practice touches nearly all aspects of transactional corporate and real estate law, but he primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and the acquisition and disposition of multifamily, retail, office, agricultural, and industrial properties. His practice also includes the drafting and negotiating of commercial lease agreements and design, construction, and development agreements.

Mr. Devins’ experience in corporate and real estate transactions spans across numerous industries, including the representation of clients operating in the maritime, agricultural, food processing, information technology, software licensing, logistics, retail, industrial manufacturing, medical service and supply, and resort and hospitality industry sectors, and the representation of owners, investors (including REITs), and developers of commercial real estate.

Mr. Devins regularly advises domestic and foreign clients (primarily based in Asia) on the potential risks, exposures, and benefits of business and commercial real estate transactions in the United States.

  • Representation of Tokyo-based residential developer in its first U.S. acquisition of commercial property in San Diego, California, including preliminary entitlement and development of the property as a multi-use hotel tower.
