Sheila Phillips is a Staff Lawyer in the Seattle office of K&L Gates. She has been a member of the e-Discovery Analysis and Technology (e-DAT) Group for over 15 years. Sheila has worked on a variety of litigation cases, internal investigations and due diligence projects involving complex legal, regulatory and factual matters, including nationwide tax class actions, government and regulatory investigations, breach of contract lawsuits and mergers and acquisitions. As Staff Lawyer, Sheila manages document review projects of every size, promoting collaboration and serving as a liaison between and among all members of the legal team, including trial counsel, vendors, IT and other technical support personnel.

Sheila handles all stages of electronic discovery from issuing legal hold notices through trial support. In addition, she manages all aspects of the discovery process, including: preservation, collection, processing, document review and production.

Professional Background

Prior to coming to K&L Gates, Ms. Phillips worked in the online banking, HR consulting and temporary staffing industries. In addition, Ms. Phillips worked as a summer extern for Sound Transit and has training in alternative dispute resolution through the University of Washington Mediation Clinic and has mediated disputes for the King County Small Claims Court and other government agencies.
