Shelby Stoner is an associate in the firm’s Seattle office. Shelby represents clients in labor, employment, and commercial litigation matters, including employee terminations, discrimination claims, wage and hour compliance, labor disputes, and litigation involving constitutional and civil rights issues. Shelby has represented employers in state, federal, and appellate court, mediations, National Labor Relations Board proceedings, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission hearings. She has also conducted trainings on sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace. Shelby regularly assists the corporate group in advising clients on employment matters related to mergers and acquisitions and employee incentive plans.

Shelby maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing clemency petitioners, asylum applicants, and human trafficking survivors to vacate trafficking-related convictions.

Professional Background

During law school, Ms. Stoner was a judicial extern for the Honorable Marsha J. Pechman of the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington. She also was a legislative extern for Legal Voice and a summer associate at K&L Gates. Prior to law school, Ms. Stoner served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Jordan and worked in the international development sector.
