Sidanth Rajagopal is a partner in the firm’s London office in the aviation finance team and concentrates his practice on financing, leasing and purchasing aircraft and engines for both the commercial and private jet markets. He has a significant client base providing both financing (structured and debt) and non-contentious advice to a number of leading airlines and aviation businesses in key stages of their development and significance to the market. He has been involved in a considerable number of high value and high profile transactions across the commercial aircraft and corporate jet sectors.

In addition to advising clients on highly structured financing transactions, Sidanth has also developed experience in advising start up aviation businesses (both lessors and airlines) worldwide.

Sidanth acts primarily for airlines, leasing companies and banks, operating globally, with a particular focus Middle East, South Asia & Africa and has successfully closed a variety of transactions ranging from airline restructurings, repossessions, fleet orders, pre-delivery payment financings, Islamic financing transactions and more recently insurance backed financings structures.

Sidanth spends his time between the London, Dubai and Singapore offices allowing him to service his broad client base. He is regularly asked to comment on relevant developments in the aviation finance market.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Rajagopal was a partner in the London office of an international law firm, where he concentrated his practice on aviation finance. He has also been a partner at the Dubai Delhi offices of an international law firm.
