Stephen M. Everett

Mr. Everett is a PTO-registered patent attorney active in all aspects of procurement and enforcement of intellectual property rights. He has extensive experience in patent litigation, ITC investigations, appeals, alternative dispute resolution, client counseling, patent prosecution, validity/infringement opinions, licensing, and mask work registrations. His technical expertise includes integrated circuits including processing and packaging, serial communication circuits, digital cameras, disk drives, magnetic memory substrates, integrated circuits, computer monitors, electrical power converters, microwave components, surgical instruments, lasers, video games, and wind turbines. Recently, Mr. Everett has been primarily responsible for technical and substantive issues in several International Trade Commission section 337 investigations involving semiconductor memories, digital cameras, semiconductor processing, and circuit packaging.

Mr. Everett worked as a mechanical design engineer for several years prior to entering patent practice as a patent agent in 1980. He received engineering degrees from Purdue University in 1972 and Cornell University in 1973. As an engineer, Mr. Everett worked at Ford Motor Company, Sandia National Laboratory, and John Fluke Manufacturing Company, where he was awarded two patents on inventions relating to electrical circuit test fixtures.
