Steve Schortgen has substantial experience in complex intellectual property litigation of all kinds: patent, copyright, trade secret and trademark.  He writes and speaks frequently on copyright, trade secret and patent issues as they relate to technology clients. Because he has personally published commercial software, Mr. Schortgen has special insight into litigation issues in computer and computer-related industries.

As a natural extension to his intellectual property practice, Mr. Schortgen has significant experience in noncompetition and nondisclosure agreements and the issues surrounding departing employees, including forensic investigations of computer and computer related media.

Mr. Schortgen has written and counseled extensively in the area of electronic discovery.
