Thomas Derlin is a partner in the firm's Berlin office and a member of its corporate and transactional practice group. He focuses on national and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public take-over law, venture capital, company law and commercial law. Mr. Derlin has experience in various kinds of M&A transactions, including complex international/cross-border deals and public takeovers.

Professional Background

Before joining K&L Gates in June 2010, Mr. Derlin worked for two years as a lawyer in the Cologne office of an international law firm. From 2005 to 2008 he was a telecoms, media and technology lawyer at an-other international law firm, where he worked on international transactions, acquisitions and joint ventures. From 2002 to 2004 he was a scientific assistant at the Institute for Commercial Law of the University of Freiburg i.Br. He holds an LLD (Dr. iur.) from the University of Freiburg i. Br.
