Tommy Miller is an associate in the firm’s Seattle office. Mr. Miller’s practice focuses on litigation, Indian Law, government contracts and procurement, and bankruptcy and insolvency. He has represented and advised a wide array of clients, including tribes, private clients, municipalities, and universities. Mr. Miller’s litigation and regulatory practice has touched on a wide variety of issues including treaty rights, internal investigations, eminent domain, utilities, aerospace, timber, and employment law. He also advises businesses, particularly Section 8(a) small businesses, on government contracting issues related to mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Miller is an active member of the boards of the Northwest Indian Bar Association and the Native American Alumni of Harvard University. He also maintains an active pro bono practice representing asylum seekers here in Seattle.


Professional Background

Mr. Miller was previously a staff attorney for the Colville Tribes’ Office of the Reservation Attorney. He was also a K&L Gates summer associate in 2014, and worked for the Environmental Defense Fund in Washington, D.C. in 2013.

  • Represented a tribal corporation in a contract dispute settlement and corporate negotiations that resulted in a multi-million dollar windfall for the tribal corporation, and the continued employment of almost 200 employees.
