Valentina Farle is a counsel in the firm’s Frankfurt office and a member of the tax practice group. She advises on national and cross-border acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, financings and fund structurings. She offers comprehensive tax advice on transactions, in particular in the areas of real estate investments, privatizations and public private partnerships, and also focuses on advising businesses on their ongoing tax matters of a more complex nature.

Professional Background

Valentina Farle joined K&L Gates in August 2011. Prior to joining the firm she worked for many years from 2001 in the area of tax law for a leading international law firm and subsequently for a German law firm. In 2005 she qualified as a German Specialist Lawyer for Tax Law (Fachanwältin für Steuerrecht), and has been a German Certified Tax Advisor (Steuerberaterin) since 2009.

Professional/Civic Activities

Ms. Farle is a member of the German branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and was a co-founder and long-time coordinator of the Berlin branch.

Speaking Engagements

Ms. Farle lectures on, among other topics, partnerships in international tax law, the tax treatment of leasing and factoring, tax aspects of real estate inbound investments and on investment taxation.

Ms. Farle writes articles on the tax treatment of public private partnerships and is a regular contributor to Immobilienzeitung. She is also the co-author of the Münchener Handbuch des Gesellschaftsrechts, Personengesellschaften im Internationalen Steuerrecht, Handbuch der Immobilieninvestitionen and Understanding German Real Estate.
