K&L Gates is pleased to have two former members of Congress as part of the Public Policy and Law team: former Congressmen Jim Walsh (R-NY) and Bart Gordon (D-TN). Combined, they have nearly 50 years' experience serving on Capitol Hill. Rep. Walsh is the only member ever to chair four House Appropriations Subcommittees. Rep. Gordon served as chairman of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee until the beginning of this Congress. Please join Bart and Jim on Friday, November 9, three days after the results are in, as they lead a panel discussion on the potentially far-reaching implications of the 2012 elections. Jim and Bart will be joined by colleagues with particular experience in some of the hot button issue areas, including taxes, financial services and environmental policy. The panel will explore what the elections mean for major issues like the so-called "fiscal cliff" in the lame duck session of the 112th Congress and the coming 113th Congress. This complimentary presentation will last for one hour, with about half of the time allotted for questions from the audience. Questions for the panel may be submitted in advance by emailing
