Zachary Timm is a partner in the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation group. Zachary has experience litigating on behalf of clients in a variety of industries in both trial and appellate courts across the country, as well as before the International Trade Commission. He focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation—including claims involving trade secrets, patents, trademarks, and copyrights—as well as data privacy disputes, commercial disputes, class action defense, and appeals. Zachary is experienced in many phases of litigation, including applying for and defending against applications for temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction, drafting and responding to legal complaints, complex fact and expert discovery, deposition preparation, law and motion practice, dispositive motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and writ practice. Healso has experience both with jury and bench trials (including in the International Trade Commission), and was named to TopVerdict’s “Top 20 Verdicts in California” list in 2025 for a trial involving claims for trade secret misappropriation.
Zachary has represented public and private companies in litigation involving claims for trade secrets misappropriation, tortious interference, data privacy, consumer protection, patent infringement, breach of contract, false advertising, unfair competition, and fraud.
Zachary also maintains an active pro bono practice. He has experience representing clients seeking asylum in the United States, as well as clients who are victims of human trafficking. Zachary also has experience assisting clients on issues relating to voting rights.
