Zachary T. Timm

Zachary Timm is an associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Timm is a member of the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation and Disputes practice group. Mr. Timm’s practice is focused on labor and employment, intellectual property litigation, business litigation, and class action defense. His experience includes trade secrets litigation, false advertising, unfair competition, and wage and hour litigation. Mr. Timm is experienced in many phases of litigation, including applying for and defending against applications for temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction, filing and responding to legal complaints, complex fact and expert discovery, deposition preparation, brief writing, mediation, dispositive motion practice, and trial preparation.

Mr. Timm also maintains an active pro bono practice. His experience includes representing clients seeking asylum in the United States, as well as clients who are victims of human trafficking.

Mr. Timm’s recent engagements include the following:

  • Represent commercial real estate services and investment firm in trade secrets dispute involving the alleged theft of nearly 500,000 files by departing employees.
  • Represent bank in connection with trade secrets dispute involving departing employees.

Professional Background

Mr. Timm was a summer associate at K&L Gates in 2016. He was previously a summer associate at a boutique plaintiff’s litigation firm. Mr. Timm has experience working on matters such as wage and hour litigation, misappropriation of trade secrets, defective products, and consumer class actions. While at UCLA School of Law, he served as a Writing Advisor for the 1L legal writing courses, as well as the Parliamentarian for the Student Bar Association, and rewrote its constitution and bylaws.
