Alex Selig is an associate at the firm’s Fort Worth office. He is a member of the investment management, hedge funds, and alternative investments practice group. Alex focuses his practice on advising private fund advisers on the structuring and formation of private investment funds, including private equity funds and venture capital funds. In addition, Alex advises private fund advisers on various regulatory, compliance and day-to-day operational matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Alex served as an associate for an international corporate law firm where he focused his practice on assisting and advising investment fund managers on fund formation, acquisition, management, and disposition of portfolio investments. In addition, he reviewed fund documents and drafted side letters for a sovereign pension fund in connection with multiple $300M+ placements in private equity and hedge funds, conducted subscription document review for registered investment adviser with over $300B AUM, advised clients on 3(c)(5)(C) exemption under Investment Company Act, and advised on other compliance matters.
