Alyssa Sherman is an associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, where she is a member of the asset management and investment funds practice group.
Alyssa represents investment companies, investment advisers, and independent board members on matters arising under U.S. federal securities laws, particularly the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and their related rules and regulations. Ms. Sherman focuses her practice on mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
In addition, Alyssa advises corporate clients on corporate, securities, governance and compliance matters and prepares materials for board and committee meetings and regulatory filings.
As a student at The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, Alyssa was a research assistant for Professor Antonio Perez and Professor Roger Colinvaux. She was also a K&L Gates summer associate in 2014.
