Apurv has counseled clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startups by delivering legal solutions that drive to the heart of the client's business goals.

As part of his Post Grants Patent practice, Apurv works with clients to avoid or reduce the cost of litigation through use of post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeals Board. Apurv has experience preparing petitions for inter partes review, working with experts to prepare supporting declarations, drafting Petitioner replies, and presenting oral arguments in front of the Board. Relying on his entrepreneurship and startup experience, Apurv combines creativity with legal problem-solving skills to help clients secure robust patents in often competitive patent landscapes. He builds and manages strategic global patent portfolios by understanding his client's long term strategic interests and monitoring competitor activities. Furthermore, Apurv has experience conducting large scale freedom to operate studies for his clients' flagship products, with an eye towards mitigating the risks of litigation or determining licensing strategies. He has also performed patentability, invalidity, and infringement analyses, and conducted due diligence reviews.

Prior to joining the firm, Apurv was an associate at national law firms specializing in intellectual property law. Apurv began his legal career at a renewable energy tech startup, where he worked closely with its team on their invention process, prior art research, and patent procurement process.
