Austin McCullough is an associate in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, where he is a member of the investigations, enforcement, and white collar practice group.
Austin’s practice focuses on the defense of companies and their directors and officers in connection with complex civil litigation in state and federal court. He also represents investment advisors, investment companies, broker-dealers, and other entities in investigations and proceedings before the Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and other government agencies and regulators.
In addition, Austin is involved in various pro bono matters at K&L Gates, including representing children seeking refugee status and advocating for veterans who have been denied disability benefits.
Prior to joining the firm, Austin was a student attorney in the Georgetown Juvenile Justice Clinic. During law school he served as a law clerk with the Children’s Law Center, and was a legal intern for the Honorable J. Michelle Childs of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the South Carolina Attorney General. Austin was a summer associate at K&L Gates in 2016.
