Mr. Geisler focuses his practice on various aspects of intellectual property law. He has prepared and prosecuted United States and international patent applications for a variety of technologies involving medical devices and surgical techniques, materials, pumps, compressors, valves, thermodynamic systems, engines, transmissions, electrical motors, heavy machinery, and other mechanical and electromechanical devices. Mr. Geisler’s practice involves counseling clients on a wide range of patent matters, including patent portfolio development, noninfringement and freedom-to-operate counseling, and due diligence for corporate transactions.
Prior to joining K&L Gates, Mr. Geisler worked for an Indiana-based law firm, focusing on intellectual property law. He was also an engineer and program manager at General Motors and Delphi Automotive where he designed, tested, and launched automotive mechanical and electromechanical devices including engine controllers, connection systems, electrical architectures, non-ferrous stampings and castings, and plastic injection-molded components.
