Bryan L. Cantley

Bryan Cantley is an associate in the firm's Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice. He focuses his practice on defending employers in a wide range of employment disputes, including discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and restrictive covenant actions. Bryan represents clients in state and federal court and before administrative agencies. 

Bryan advises clients on all aspects of the employment relationship, including hiring and separations, discrimination, harassment, leave and disability issues, and compliance with various state and federal employment laws, including the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and OSHA. Bryan assists clients with drafting employment agreements, employee handbooks, severance agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements. Bryan’s practice also includes advising clients regarding complex labor and employment issues related to mergers and acquisitions.

Bryan has experience serving clients across a range of industries, including health care, higher education, financial institutions, and production and manufacturing.

Prior to joining the firm, Bryan served as an associate attorney for a law firm based in Raleigh. Through this role, Bryan represented employers in North Carolina and advised and counseled clients on a wide range of legal issues, with a focus on workers’ compensation matters. Bryan has extensive litigation experience, including appellate litigation before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of North Carolina.
