Chelsie Rimel is an associate at the firm's Washington, D.C. office. She is a member of the investigations, enforcement, and white collar practice group. Chelsie focuses on the defense of individuals, investment advisors, public companies, and other financial institutions subject to investigations and other actions from state and federal regulators. These regulators include the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and state attorneys general. She also represents clients in litigation matters with a focus on securities.
Additionally, Chelsie has experience handling internal investigations for companies, their boards of directors, and their committees regarding an array of issues assessing legal exposure and disclosure considerations.
Chelsie considers her most meaningful work to be the pro bono representation of veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in benefits cases for service-connected injuries and ailments.
