Daniel Dykes is an associate in the Boston office of K&L Gates LLP, where he focuses his practice on the formation, closing, and marketing of private funds. Daniel advises these private fund clients and their sponsors on all aspects of fund formation, general partner, and management company matters, as well as negotiating partnership agreements and side letters with limited partners. Daniel also represents institutional investors in establishing and managing their relationships with alternative investment sponsors, and advises registered investment advisers on investments in SPAC and PIPE transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Daniel was an associate at an international law firm. There he represented and counseled investment advisers in connection with structuring and formation of onshore and offshore private funds, including drafting and review of fund offering and operating documents (e.g., offering memoranda, limited partnership agreements, investment management agreements, subscription agreements, and side letters), secondaries, and minority deals.
