Edward Brown-Humes is a commercial disputes associate, sitting within the Insurance Coverage practice group of K&L Gates in London. He is frequently instructed on a wide range of complex commercial disputes, including English high court litigation and international arbitration, particularly on matters which have insurance coverage-related aspects.
Prior to joining the firm, Edward was an associate at another international law firm. On insurance matters, Edward acted for policyholders, brokers and re/insurers on disputes arising out of several lines of business including property damage/business interruption, professional indemnity, onshore and offshore energy, mining, CAR, and ILW policies. Edward also has experience of litigating a variety of other commercial disputes in the English Courts (particularly the Commercial Court) and the Hong Kong Courts (High Court and Court of Appeal), and has been involved in commercial and investment treaty arbitrations under a number of the common institutional rules including ICSID, ICC, UNCITRAL, and LCIA, as well as ad-hoc.
