REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

Construction and Infrastructure

Advised the owner of a major US$12 billion LNG liquefaction plant in western Africa (being a consortium of an NOC and several oil majors) on various aspects of the project, including the construction, testing, and commissioning of the facility; plant modifications; and disputes under the onshore and offshore EPC contracts.
Represented a national Australian infrastructure services provider on an appeal relating to proceedings concerning a claim for a substantial payment under a works contract between our client (as contractor) and a provider of fully integrated service solutions for resources and infrastructure sectors (in liquidation, as subcontractor).  
Advised an independent power producer in Australia as project sponsor on the full suite of project documents in relation to a wind farm in New South Wales. The project commenced operation in 2020 with the capacity being 226.8MW and having 54 wind turbines. The Clean Energy Finance Corporation contributed AU$179 million towards the project.
Advised on the connection arrangements, land arrangements, new transmission line, and preparing due diligence report for the Stockyard Hill Connection. 

Advised an Australian facility management provider regarding student accommodation.

Advised the owner of a major US$12 billion LNG liquefaction plant in western Africa (being a consortium of an NOC and several oil majors) on various aspects of the project, including the construction, testing, and commissioning of the facility; plant modifications; and disputes under the onshore and offshore EPC contracts.
Advised one of Indonesia's leading metals and mining companies on a US$254 million turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction contract for a ferronickel plant construction project, which was designed to increase the client's ferronickel production.

Represented one of the largest U.S. utilities in executing a major project portfolio for the upgrading and modernization of its transmission assets in Florida. 

Acted as lead counsel for an infrastructure construction services company in connection with a US$1.2 million contract to procure and install major electrical components on a 250 megawatt solar power plant constructed in the Mojave Desert.

Provided support to a manufacturer of carbon-negative engineered wood-based panels on all legal aspects of the expansion of a factory, comprising the construction of new process buildings and equipment.

Represented a joint venture of a leader in heavy civil infrastructure and a Japanese construction company as plaintiff in a contract dispute over construction of one of the tallest U.S. dam raise projects using roller-compacted concrete. 
Advised an infrastructure operator and maintainer in relation to a major project to upgrade a signaling and control system to provide automatic train operation and CBTC signaling.
Advised a global professional body for surveyors in relation to updating its Standard Forms of Consultant Appointments to reflect industry developments and legislative changes.
Acted as national bid-protest counsel for a technology communications firm serving department of corrections facilities and incarcerated individuals, representing client in all its major bid protest proceedings in over 40 states around the country.
Served as lead counsel for a leading provider of engineering and consulting services in an AAA arbitration regarding a breach of contract. Our client entered into a sub-subconsultant agreement with the subconsultant for engineering and design support services in connection with a two-phase project to upgrade certain portions of U.S. Route 36 in Colorado. Our client sought compensation for unpaid invoices in connection with the project.
Represented a leader in eco-friendly recycling, packaging, and hygiene solutions in negotiating a design-build agreement for a 450,000 square foot tenant improvement alteration project in New Jersey.

Advised an American electric power holding company with respect to a construction project for a 400MW natural-gas fired power plant in North Carolina.
