Prior to joining the firm Haarika served as a legal intern for a nonprofit organization working to end sexual violence in Maryland, where she handled a caseload of 10-15 clients with attorney supervision, drafted a motion to modify a final protective order, and researched case law on protective orders. She also worked as a research assistant for the law school of a public research university in Virginia, and researched and analyzed state election codes, updated each state’s eBenchbook beta site as an innovative internet resource for judges, and collaborated with working group to develop best practices and troubleshoot unique problems as they arose.
