Heather Frisch is an associate in the Los Angeles office of K&L Gates, LLP where she focuses her practice on the representation of general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in construction related matters involving schedule delay impacts and time extensions, defective specifications, design changes, and payment disputes on both public and private projects. Heather has also been involved with a number of design-build projects for state and local entities and understands the unique challenges those projects face.
As former in-house counsel for a large heavy civil contractor, Heather is experienced in dealing with the day-to-day challenges and issues that can arise during large and small construction projects in California. She has worked on major projects involving bridges, dams, water treatment plants, schools, hospitals, high-end residential homes, and public infrastructure.
Heather has represented clients in both state and federal courts, as well as during mediation and arbitration proceedings. She also has particular experience assisting clients with professional licensing issues in California.
Prior to joining the firm, Heather worked in-house at a California heavy civil construction company that was involved with both local and federally funded projects. Her experience includes contract and delay impact disputes on various large public works projects including bridges, dams, highways, and water treatment plants.
