Hena Sial

Hena Sial is an associate at the firm's Doha office. Hena’s practice includes project-development, project finance, contract/claims management, and recently, investment protection under international law. Hena has advised government entities, contractors, and financiers on PPPs in Canada, Turkey, and the Middle East. Hena has also recently advised a state on the development of its model bilateral investment treaty and is developing a practice in public international law and investor-state arbitration. Hena trained in Toronto, Canada and advised the Canadian government on PPP projects including highways, hospitals, colleges, and health care centres. Hena also worked in Istanbul, Turkey in the English Law practice of an international law firm advising financial institutions on mega-infrastructure projects. 

Hena is passionate about conflict resolution and is training to become a mediator in Canada.

Before joining K&L Gates, Hena worked for a leading international law firm and the Canadian government.
