Jiang Wu is a USPTO-registered patent attorney with a Ph.D. in Electronics and Applied Physics from Tokyo Institute of Technology. Jiang’s experience includes both IP prosecution and IP litigation. Jiang has been drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications covering a wide range of technical areas such as consumer electronics, computer software, display technologies (LCD and LED displays), data storage technologies (MRAM and STT-RAM), imaging technologies (image sensor and digital camera), energy and material technologies (Li-ion batteries and smart grid), medical devices, and semiconductor devices and processes. Jiang has also prosecuted international patent applications in Japan, China, Europe, Australia, and other regions all over the world. Jiang has also counseled clients on IP strategies and opinion work such as patentability, validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate opinions.
Jiang’s patent litigation experience encompasses offensive and defensive proceedings on behalf of domestic and foreign clients in the federal district courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and the US Patent and Trademark Office. Jiang has hands-on experience in all stages of litigation starting from pre-suit diligence and investigation to trial and post-trial briefing and everything in between. Jiang has litigated patents in Section 337 investigations in the U.S. International Trade Commission on behalf of clients in various industries, including a leading LCD manufacturer, a semiconductor company, and a smart phone company.
