Jin Ahn is an associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, where she is a member of the investment management, hedge funds, and alternative investments practice group. She represents registered investment companies and their independent board members on regulatory and compliance matters arising under U.S. federal securities laws.
Jin’s experience includes drafting and reviewing registration statements, proxy statements, and other regulatory filings related to investment company operations, and preparing materials to assist investment company board members in their review and approval of various matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Jin interned at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where she worked on federal securities registration issues. She worked on securities enforcement matters as an extern with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. She also volunteered at the D.C. Bankruptcy Court during law school to help pro se filers.
Prior to law school, Jin was an intelligence analyst for the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency.
