K&L Gates Continues California Growth with Addition of Los Angeles Litigation Partner

Los Angeles - Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Mitchell Kim as a partner in the litigation and dispute resolution practice. He joins K&L Gates’ Los Angeles office from Fox Rothschild LLP. 

Kim focuses his litigation and disputes practice on a range of commercial law matters, but primarily business disputes arising out of contracts, corporate ownership, partnerships, asset distributions, and intellectual property (copyright and trademark). He has extensive experience representing clients ranging from Fortune 500 to start-up companies in bench and jury trials from pre-litigation to trial. Fluent in Korean, Kim also provides pro bono legal advice to fledgling businesses through his work with the Korean American Apparel Manufacturers Association. He is a member of the Korean American Bar Association of Southern California, the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County, Alhambra Chamber of Commerce, and the Orange County Korean American Bar Association, among others.

Kim is one of eight California-based lawyers the firm has added during the past year, along with intellectual property partner Mincheol Kim, real estate partner William Tate, and commercial litigation partners J. David Bournazian and Jonathan Hersey in Orange County and intellectual property partner Tom Anderton, corporate partner Ali Nardali, and asset management of counsel David Owen in San Francisco. K&L Gates has welcomed nearly 30 new partners and of counsel in 2020, including in the firm’s corporate; health care; tax; commercial litigation; environment, land and natural resources; asset management and investment funds; IP procurement and portfolio management; IP litigation; real estate; government contracts; and investigations, enforcement and white collar practices.
