K&L Gates Names Los Angeles Partner as 2019 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow
Launched in 2011, the program works to identify, train, and advance the next generation of high-potential attorneys from diverse backgrounds in order to foster diversity at the leadership levels of law firms and corporate legal departments.
“It’s an honor to be selected and be part of the next generation of LCLD Fellows,” said Espinosa.
Espinosa focuses his practice on the construction industry, working with clients from the onset of a project and contract formation to the resolution of claims through settlement and litigation. He represents stakeholders in a broad range of construction projects, from commercial building to civil and infrastructure projects. Espinosa also advises clients during contract negotiations and frequently speaks on issues affecting the construction industry.
“Hector is an excellent choice as the representative for K&L Gates and we know he will represent K&L Gates and the Los Angeles office well in this role,” stated Timothy Pierce, managing partner of K&L Gates’ Los Angeles office.
In addition to its involvement with LCLD – which named K&L Gates as both a Top Performer and Compass Award winner for 2018, recognizing organizations that are most active in and supportive of LCLD’s mission and programs, including the Fellows and Pathfinder initiatives – K&L Gates sponsors or participates in a number of other diversity-related programs. These include Corporate Counsel Women of Color (CCWC), Diversity Council Australia, Equality Campaign Australia, the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), Lambda Law, the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), the Belgium Legal Diversity & Inclusion Alliance, the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL), the National Bar Association, the National LGBT Bar Association, and the Stonewall (UK) Global Diversity Champions Program.
