Klaus Banke is a partner in the firm’s Frankfurt office. Klaus focuses on corporate law and transactions, notably domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, both public and private. He also advises on joint ventures, corporate governance matters as well as corporate restructurings. Additionally, he has broad experience in dispute and arbitration matters, specifically in the context of complex corporate and commercial transactions. Klaus has worked extensively for multinationals, including companies such as the EDF Group, Agfa-Gevaert, Lafarge, Total and ArcelorMittal.
JUVE, the leading publication on German law firms, distinguishes Klaus as a frequently recommended M&A and corporate lawyer in Germany. Legal 500, 2018 highlights him as 'extremely precise'.
Prior to joining the firm, Klaus worked in the Frankfurt and New York offices of a leading international law firm for 15 years.
Klaus has lectured on International M&A Transactions at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, since 2011.
Klaus is admitted as a German Rechtsanwalt and as an attorney-at-law in the state of New York (New York, 1st Department).
